Are fans in this basketball section getting too excited over regular season wins?

Its always great to feel excited after winning and win the game, but you shouldnt make a claim that you're going to be NBA championship just because you have a gaudy regular season record. Teams like the Lakers,Cavs,Celtics,and Spurs are having great seasons and any of those 4 may very well end up winning the NBA title. But how little did we forget that just a short time(2 years ago) the Mavericks had an incredible 67 regular seasons and a year after losing to the Heat in the NBA Finals were ready to crown themselves NBA Champs. What did those 67 wins in the regular season get them? Knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st round by the Golden State Warriors. Mavs fans, and it seemed even players got y and overconfident and were ready to book their tickets to their 2nd round matchup only to find out that a more-determined Warriors team would absolutely demolish them in 3 of the 4 games and win the series 4-2. This year the same can happen and it almost did last year as the Hawks, who looked like an easy sweep to the Celtics gave them a run for their money taking the series to 7 games. I can easily see a major 1st round upset happening in this years Western Conference playoffs. All these wins dont matter until you get into a 7 game series and win 4 of those games. Do you feel people are hyping up their teams too much and getting too excited over regular season wins?
