He likes you. You should not have said that you didn't like him. Now he is in no-man's land. Especially if he is shy. He probably doesn't know if you want him to keep talking to you now. The nervousness makes it worse. If you like this guy, slip him a note. You really can say, "hey, I didn't mean what I said about not liking you..." If I was in his shoes right now, I would be helping you to avoid me...because that is what it appears you want.
