Holidaying with but without children?
I received a brochure through the post this morning about a holiday company who include up to 90 hours of free childcare in with their holiday prices. I can't see the point of having children and then taking them on holiday only to put them in childcare even when they are there! I thought that's what 'family holidays' were for - to spend as a family! They have monitors in the rooms so you can go down to the bar and still get reception so you can hear if your child wakes up (surely this just encourages the idea that it's okay for the parents to go and drink whilst their babies sleep?.) But what really got to me about it, is that this offer is for babies from as young as seven DAYS of age. What kind of parent would want to go on holiday and be away from their baby like this? I would maybe go and have my daughter go to a childs club for maybe a couple of hours a couple of times whilst my hubby and I had some time to myself but to leave them that much, or that young I think is ridiculous. What do you think of it all?
