Why is everyone yapping about nuclear energy being dangerous?

Wow! I know that everything you say is true,but I'm 73,am scheduled for my 4th coil embolization which will probably kill me,so I guess we're all going to die some day some way. Why focus on it unless you know you can personally do something about the present conditions?
