How does Edgar Allan Poe portray family in "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Cask of Amontillado"?

I won't write your own essay for you, but I wanted to say it's an interesting question, considering the only treatment of family in "Cask..." is mention of the dead. The trick on Fortunato is played in the catacombs of a family (Montresor's?), where their dead bodies and bones lay. This is the only treatment of family I'm aware of in the story.
