It did make me more aware of hygiene and I constantly washed my hands and backed away from anyone sneezing but I think I did anyway wherever I was. I was going on a trip to Mexico from Texas and it had to be cancelled because it was supposedly the hub of swine flu so that was a bit of a shame. But travel holds many risks and it didn't worry me unduly. What happened to swine flu anyway?

What can I do to help my depressed, entrepreneur husband?

My husband and I got married one year ago. He is an entrepreneur and working on his third internet technology business. Although I have not finished my PhD program at my East Coast university, we sold our home, stored or sold everything we own, left all of our friends and family and moved to California for his business. As the business slowly used up all of our savings, all of my personal savings, my IRA and thousands of dollars in credit card debit, we needed some money and quickly. Though I am supposed to be working on my dissertation full time, I decided to get a job so we could at least have enough to live. Unfortunately, more was needed to pay past business expenses thereby earmarking each paycheck before it even arrived. And I would be happy to give everything all over again but it seems so futile as my husband is becoming more and more miserable every day...like everything I do either doesn't help or makes things worse (e.g. he'll say I'm too busy for him). The business hasn't had the chance to get off the ground and is completely out of money (and there is no more in sight). This is the third time I have seen him depressed as a business has wound down, but this is by far the worst. He says I have no idea whats going on but won't talk to me about it. I have begged him to talk to me...so we can figure this out as a team, but he just stares and doesn't talk. I cannot tell if continued persuasion to talk makes him feel worse or better...and I know he won't talk to a professional. He says he needs a job but no one will hire him because he doesn't have an advanced degree, or because his business ventures haven't been successful, etc. But I don't know if he's really looked either. Now he just moves around the house, without speaking, like a shell of himself. He has completely shut me out. All I want to do is help him, but he stares at me like an opponent. I cannot be happy when he is so sad. I already feel like I'm drowning as my dissertation is totally being neglected, my job is stressful and demanding, I'm working 13 hours a day at the minimum, I miss my family and friends like crazy...but nothing compares to the heartache I feel about my husband. I'll do whatever it takes to make him happy. I'll support any decision. If he wants a job, we'll find a job. If he wants to work part-time on the business and part-time at a job, I'll help him do that. If he needs help finding money to continue the business full-time, I've got his back there too. But he won't say anything. Part of me thinks he wants me to tell him what to do, but how can I do that? The worst part is, I have no one to talk to because in doing so, I would be revealing business information to friends and family that I am in no place to reveal. I don't know what to do. We used to be a team but now we seem to just coexist. Everything I do seems to be wrong. Help. I am so sad and feel so helpless. Has anyone gone through anything similar?

The White Sox and Royals double-header.......what up with that?

I don't know, but all I know it is crazy on how they have this double head going on at night, but maybe it is best to do it, even for familes on night like this, of where it would be a school or work night, instead of say tomorrow. But I don't understand why they couldn't do a double header, like a twilight double header, of where they could have started game 1 like right now, and then air game 2 at the regular game time, of when they would have played. I am finding it more off an odd doubleheader, I don't know about triple header. Since they still going to be still a lot of hours between tonight's game 2, and tomorrow afternoon game. So say if game #1 ends at 8:30 P.M. (central time). Then I would think that game #2 will start at 9:00 P.M. But let's say if the game ends at 9:00 P.M. (central time), then look for game #2 would start at 9:30 P.M. (central time). But either way, you might have to figure that the odds would have to be good, that game #2 might still be going on when it hits midnight (12:00 P.M.) or even later. But what are the odds that both games could be over before midnight, it is hard to say at this point. And of course the MLB would schedule these games as single games, which would be hard for them to predict what the weather will be like at game time. And normally the last game of a series, whether a 3 or a 4 game series, is done in the afternoon, which would give 1 of both teams time enough, to leave town, and go to the next city they are supposed to be in. Next of all, there should be a problem with who is airing the games. Both of you agree on a pword, and put it in. Once the connection is established, go to your file management screen. Select the ringtone, hit Options and select "Send:" and select "Bluetooth". Select your friend's phone and hit Send. Optionally, if you don't have the ability to send on that, have him do almost the same thing, but select "Recieve via Bluetooth", and see if you can select the file from there.

Are fans in this basketball section getting too excited over regular season wins?

Its always great to feel excited after winning and win the game, but you shouldnt make a claim that you're going to be NBA championship just because you have a gaudy regular season record. Teams like the Lakers,Cavs,Celtics,and Spurs are having great seasons and any of those 4 may very well end up winning the NBA title. But how little did we forget that just a short time(2 years ago) the Mavericks had an incredible 67 regular seasons and a year after losing to the Heat in the NBA Finals were ready to crown themselves NBA Champs. What did those 67 wins in the regular season get them? Knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st round by the Golden State Warriors. Mavs fans, and it seemed even players got y and overconfident and were ready to book their tickets to their 2nd round matchup only to find out that a more-determined Warriors team would absolutely demolish them in 3 of the 4 games and win the series 4-2. This year the same can happen and it almost did last year as the Hawks, who looked like an easy sweep to the Celtics gave them a run for their money taking the series to 7 games. I can easily see a major 1st round upset happening in this years Western Conference playoffs. All these wins dont matter until you get into a 7 game series and win 4 of those games. Do you feel people are hyping up their teams too much and getting too excited over regular season wins?

Car Problems: Dead Battery Constantly?

I have a old 1991 Honda Prelude. My car battery always seems to die. I've had several batteries within the year 2007 and a brand new alternator in like december 07. After I put the alternator in, I got another brand new battery because the one before was dead. So new alternator and new battery. Everything was running great unitl now. What could be wrong with me?

I am on depression pills, am on some pills for headaches. Some for my musical spasms. Am on birth control because I used to have my period every day they were heavy so birth control helped me with getting it on track also helped with zits. Am on med to help me not through up. Holidaying with but without children?

I received a brochure through the post this morning about a holiday company who include up to 90 hours of free childcare in with their holiday prices. I can't see the point of having children and then taking them on holiday only to put them in childcare even when they are there! I thought that's what 'family holidays' were for - to spend as a family! They have monitors in the rooms so you can go down to the bar and still get reception so you can hear if your child wakes up (surely this just encourages the idea that it's okay for the parents to go and drink whilst their babies sleep?.) But what really got to me about it, is that this offer is for babies from as young as seven DAYS of age. What kind of parent would want to go on holiday and be away from their baby like this? My first HCG level was 36 at almost 4 weeks. Gestational sac present in U/S but no yolk sac. Is this normal?

I went to confirm my pregnancy and the walk in doctor told me that he doesn't think my pregnancy is viable (because my first blood test showed a HCG level of 36). He told me I will definitely miscarry or that I'm having an ectopic pregnancy. He sent me for a l ultrasound and the results showed that there was a gestational sac present but no yolk sac. At the time I was 4 weeks pregnant. My second blood test (2 days later) showed that my HCG level is 106. The walk-in doctor told me not to get my hopes up that this is unlikely viable. Can you see the yolk sac on a 4 week ultrasound? This doctor has convinced me that I will not continue this pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy. I'm going into my fifth week and have done nothing by worry! I always thought my first pregnancy would be filled with joy and anticipation. Instead I'm scared out of my mind.

About at least once a day, I have these almost episodes that last about 30 minutes to an hour, and I almost cry non-stop during these times. Usually feel almost dead inside during these times, and i feel like i have absolutely no reason to be alive, like everyone else would be better off without me. And usually if I feel really awful and the dead felling wont go away I'll start hurting myself, and I've started to starve myself as well. I don't know what I should do, because I feel like if I try to go to anyone about this they wont care or they will have something better to do at the time then listen. You sing with support of your diaphram air pes the voice box and resonates in the sinus of the face. First, you have to understand how humans are meant to breath. We all breath properly when we are born and through time we start a habit of breathing using our lungs and shoulders. If you lie on the floor flat on your back and breath you breath correctly. When you breath in air enters your mouth and your stomach and chest rise but your shoulders do not rise. Your stomach rises because you have to think of your lungs as balloons when air enters a balloon it inflates and when it is let out it deflates. Now I have a great exercise for helping you feel your diaphram while singing. During your lesson I have the student place both hands on the piano stool and walk back with their feet until the are in a semi push up position. (not on the floor) You will feel alot of muscular tension in the abs where your diaphram is. It is nearly imposible to sing from the throat in this position. You will se an immediate difference in the quality and strenghth of your voice. This is exactly singing with the diaphram. Slowly, begin singing with the exact same technique in the relaxed upright position, feet slightly apart, arms at sides and knees unlocked. Note: Never sing out of your natural range. Singing incorrectly causes vocal nodes.

But since Sophia found out that Veronica and Sophias ex might get married. She blew up. Then she would try and tell everyone its their fault for not seeing their child together. She took him back to court, for more money. He has tried but it is Sophias way or no way. Well Veronica also got a gut feeling to check out the web. I wish you do. I know it will help. Trust me no matter the situation just you sharing your thought and feeling and express it out in counseling and you know people will listen and wanted to help you that make you feel better already. You try exercise? Exercise is powerful than most people think. A simple daily 45 minutes fast brisk walk can help you tremendously! Just don't stop half way if you wanted to feel better. It seems like a joke but do it daily you'll be amazed on how calm and focus and positive you can be! Exercise release the natural pain killer and mood enhancer called endorphin helping with anxiety, depression, anger, you name it. Watch your diet. Stay away from junk, caffeine, alcohol, drugs, and other stimulant. Be very careful with prescription drugs. Some of them can make you more depressed and suicidal once you come off of it. Eat plenty of fresh fruits. The power of exercising along with healthy diet is an amazing cure for most of our problems but sadly most people take it for granted. I am not looking for huge muscles you know just a decent tone, i am 21 skinny (120 lbs about) 5'9". I do have have weights. How long and frequent should I work out. Cleaning chef whites with oven cleaner might work?

I know that there is a high risk of the material breaking down but im at the last straw before bring home so of our cleaning chemicals. I was thinking since the oven cleaner uses lye( sodium hydroxide) which is a very costic chemical with a high pH. My chef coats have a large array of stains and one that i cant get to budge which is metal shavings from sharpening a knife. I have tried oxyclean, bleach, color safe bleach, dawn soap, boiling water and vinegat and lemon juice, and all the other stain removal tips that i have gotten, removed stains really well but not all of them. any ideas? and i cant buy new chef coats because they are my school coats from the culinary institute of america and i have to have these coats.

the only type of auction I would consider going to is one where you can al least test drive the vehicle, unfortunatly most auctions are full of crap cars dealers are unable to sell for one reason or another, private parties will also dump cars at an auction with major problems, just because it runs enough to idle to the floor is not good enough. I do not buy cars I cannot at least test drive cold from sitting at least overnight, and for at least 30 or 40 minutes from start up. and the only type of car I would consider is front engine rear wheel drive. For two grand, you need to be mechanically very savvy and know what you are looking for, Other people bid on cheap cars too, sometimes staying to the end can get you a decent deal, but you have to know what you are doing, dealers will often buy several cars, all they need is one good one in the pile to make money, the rest get shuffled around like lemon lemon who has the lemon? nissan, honda, toyota, and subaru would be about the only car I would even consider. best of luck auctions are a poor way to find a good car, the best way is to be patient, spend however long it takes lookng at crap cars until you find a decent private party car, like from an estate sale something along those lines, the cars are taken care of, usually kept under cover, and do not have the pee driven out of them .
